Parallel Worlds: Arts and Sciences

La temporada de premios del cine está en plena ebullición. Tras el aperitivo   de los Globos de Oro en Hollywood el mes pasado y la gala de los Goya del cine español hace unas semanas, ayer se celebró la 71º ceremonia de los Bafta en el prestigio Royal Albert Hall en Londres. Sin lugar a dudas, fue una de las galas más reivindicativas que se recuerda en donde se puso de manifiesto la protesta global contra los abusos sexuales contra las mujeres en Hollywood y desgraciadamente también, en la gran mayoría de las industrias artísticas. En esta noche, la gran triunfadora fue Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, Missouri de Martin McDonagh, ganadora de cinco premios, entre ellos el de mejor película, mejor guion y mejor actriz para Frances McDormard. El cineasta mexicano se alzó como mejor director por The Shape of Water , mientras que el actor británico Gary Oldman el de mejor actor, interpretando a Sir Winston Churchill en Darkest Hour . Wassily Kandinsky was born in Moscow in 1866 and died in Paris in 1944, he is undoubtedly one of the most relevant painters of all time. However, if you are trying to understand the creative process of his works, you will understand he is not only a great painter, but a visionary. He introduced several concepts into his paintings, from other artistic fields, making him a pioneer in the transdisciplinary art. It is well known that Kandinsky wanted people not only to see, but hear his paintings as well as he believed that the vision and the sound should be linked together, just like music. An abstract concept that made him a unique artist of his time and one of of the faces of the Expressionism and the Abstract Art.
